Airline Industry

"That'll be $25."

These are the words I heard when I pulled up to the American Airlines counter last night before my red eye flight. All I wanted to do is bring my extremely moisturizing hemp lotion from The Body Shop and my awesome hair gel. Yes, I am a straight guy who cares about his products. SO.....Oh and my toothpaste is also something I wanted to bring. I refused to pay the fee.

I figured out why they charge you to check bags. It's not because the gas prices are high, and it's not to cut down on the weight of the airplane. They charge you so they can allow a screaming child to scream uncontrollably, start the video entertainment half-way through the flight, and also pay flight attendants to give attitude every time you want something.

I understand that the screaming child is hard to control, but if there was ever a time that kids should be hit, that was the time. I know that most planes don't have TV's, but this one did! If they got it, then use it and don't wait until half-way through the flight. They must have been trying to save money so they could make the most out the $25 some people paid to check bags. What I don't know is why it's so hard, as a flight attendant, to just be a decent person when someone asks you to do your job.

I have concluded from his trip alone that Southwest is the best in the business. They are so easy to work with, sometimes the flight attendants are comedians, and it is FREE to check 2 bags!!!
